Today, the Minister of Tourism, Miroslav Borshosh, visited the Provadia–Solnitsata archaeological site. He was accompanied by Amelia Gesheva, an advisor at the ministry, and was welcomed on site by Emil Radev – Member of the European Parliament from GERB, Kristian Ganchev – Member of Parliament from GERB, Prof. Andriana Andreeva – Regional Governor of Varna, and Plamen Borisov – Executive Director of "Provadsalt" JSC.
The guests were received by Acad. Vasil Nikolov, head of the field research, who guided them through the complex and presented the oldest salt production and urban center in Europe. Minister Borshosh expressed strong appreciation for the potential to promote the archaeological site as an attractive destination for both Bulgarian and foreign tourists from the Northern Black Sea coast, as well as from other parts of the country and abroad.
