Visit of the Minister of Culture Evtim Miloshev to Provadia–Solnitsata
The guests expressed their admiration for what had been achieved and congratulated the archaeological team for its consistency in research, preservation, and presentation of this unique cultural heritage. During the meeting, the intention to discuss changes to the rules for financing archaeological monuments of high scientific and cultural value was also shared. It is envisaged that sites that have the potential to become significant destinations for cultural tourism will be able to receive targeted financial support for their research, preservation, restoration, and socialization. For Provadia–Solnitsata, this is of particularly great importance, because behind the transformation of an archaeological site into a place for culture, education, and tourism stand years of scientific work, efforts for preservation, and the dedication of many people. The visit concluded with a symbolic moment: a group photo in front of the European Heritage Label plaque, which arrived at Provadia–Solnitsata only a few days ago, sent by the European Heritage Label Bureau of the European Commission.
