Sevdalina Zhecheva
Sevdalina Tsaneva was born in Varna and currently resides in the small picturesque village of Petrov Dol, Municipality of Provadia. She earned her degree in Archaeology from Shumen University "Episkop Konstantin Preslavski." She works as a curator of the Archaeology collection at the Historical Museum – Provadia. Since 2013, she has been actively engaged in archaeology, participating in excavations at several prehistoric sites. Her research interests focus on the study of stone fortification systems during the Late Prehistory.
She has been a member of the team excavating the earliest salt-production and urban center in Europe – Provadia-Solnitsata – since 2013. She also takes part in organized surveys of archaeological sites in Northeastern Bulgaria. Sevdalina is a co-author of various academic and popular-scientific texts related to Provadia-Solnitsata, and the author of publications on Thracian rock-cut tombs located within the Municipality of Provadia. She has served as a consultant, coordinator, and project leader for initiatives funded by the Ministry of Culture, connected with the Historical Museum – Provadia and the Provadia-Solnitsata archaeological site.
