On 6 September, we celebrate Bulgarian Unification Day with history, salt, and special activities for young and old! What awaits you? Tours of the Prehistoric Complex Provadia-Solnitsata A tour of the archaeological site will begin every hour on the hour, giving you the opportunity to experience the history of Europe’s earliest salt producers. A Salty Flag Our young visitors will be able to create the Bulgarian tricolour using coloured salt and take it home as a souvenir of the celebration. ????️ Map of the Unification Using salt, we will recreate the borders of the Principality of Bulgaria and Eastern Rumelia and symbolically unite them into a single map. ???? Discover, Learn, Tell! Set off on a little historical adventure! Discover the hidden stories along the route, learn something interesting about the Unification of Bulgaria, and at the end, tell us what you remember. ???? Every young explorer who completes the mission will receive a gift as a souvenir of the celebration! At a place with thousands of years of history, we will celebrate one of Bulgaria’s most cherished national days, the Unification of Bulgaria, together, in a festive spirit and with a pinch of salt!
