Violeta Stoitsova
Violeta Stoitsova was born in Plovdiv. In 2013, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Archaeology from Paisii Hilendarski University of Plovdiv. In 2019, she obtained a Master’s degree in Archaeology from Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski." Her research interests focus on domestic architecture and interior spaces during the Late Prehistory. Since 2021, she has been a PhD student in the Prehistory Department at the National Institute of Archaeology with Museum at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, working on a dissertation titled "Construction Technologies in Prehistory." As of 2024, she is also part of the national program "Young Scientists and Postdoctoral Researchers – Phase 2."
She has participated in archaeological excavations at numerous prehistoric sites across Bulgaria. Since 2010, she has been a member of the team investigating the earliest salt-production and urban center in Europe – Provadia-Solnitsata.
Violeta has presented papers on architectural structures discovered at Provadia-Solnitsata at several national and international conferences.
