ХХV “round table” of the Black Sea Strandzha Association

On May 15, 2026, in Ahtopol, the 25th “round table” of the Black Sea Strandzha Association took place. Prof. Vassil Nikolov, Ph.D, Sc.D., Full member of BAS, presented his research entitled “Salt from Provadia-Solnitsata as Commodity Money during Late Prehistory.” The presentation was received with great interest by the academic community, and many participants expressed a desire to visit the prehistoric site in the coming months.

On 22 April 2026, the European Heritage Label (EHL) marked an important milestone with the 2026 Label Award Ceremony, celebrating 15 years of the initiative and officially welcoming Provadia Salt-Production and Urban Centre, into its growing community of 80 sites across 23 countries.
