“The Wonders of Bulgaria”

Provadia–Solnitsata has once again been nominated and has the honor of taking part in the national competition “The Wonders of Bulgaria”!
This year’s list of nominations includes 15 of the most significant archaeological discoveries made over the past 15 years. All of them have previously been awarded or nominated in earlier editions of the ranking. The prehistoric salt-production and urban center Provadia–Solnitsata is one of these remarkable discoveries and this year is once again competing for first place! We call upon all our followers and friends to support the ancient Saltworks in this important initiative, presented to the attention of the Bulgarian public. Your support will help emphasize the importance of preserving and promoting this extraordinary monument of the first European civilization.
The winner will be announced during the grand anniversary awards ceremony of “The Wonders of Bulgaria”, which will take place on November 1 at the Ivan Vazov National Theatre. The event is organized by the Cultural Heritage Society, the Bulgarian representative of the European organization for cultural heritage preservation “Europa Nostra.” Media partners: Standart and BNT (Bulgarian National Television).
